Come down to the Botanic Gardens from 6 pm to take a look at the craft stalls for some local handmade products and grab a bit to eat from the food stalls from the ‘Mini Malak Markets’. Darwin proudly represents cuisines from all of the world and the food stalls will be offering some fantastic meals with local, fresh and organic produce. Malak marketplace boasts the first eco-friendly markets in Darwin. For more info on Malak Markets go to https://www.malakmarketplace.org.au/

Bird Trivia NT Style - 3rd July

A fun and relaxed evening where your ‘bird species’ name will come in handy! You will form your team according to the species that you’ve been allocated to join forces to see which species will reign champions of Bird Trivia AOC Darwin 2019. Will it be the waders, finches, honeyeaters or something else?

Join us at the Darwin Trailer boat club from 6:30 pm. There is a restaurant and bar available. Bird Trivia will begin at 7:30 pm sharp! Hosting the evening is one of the NT’s favourite conservationist Ian Morris. Ian is a biologist, educator, conservationist and author not to mention a very genuine, humourous and all round nice guy! Ian’s history in the NT extends to his involvement with the establishment of Kakadu as a National Park back in the ’70s. His work with Aboriginal traditional owners in both Kakadu and Arnhemland has been extensive and has resulted in connecting traditional knowledge and culture with modern day science in relation to all animals.
